In addition to being a visionary account of a journey into the afterlife, Dante Alighieri’s poem is also universally recognized as a detailed portrait of the customs and culture of the 14th century. And within this majestic picture, there are significant references to the existence of mechanical watches in Tuscany at that time, confirming that Italy is indeed a country with ancient watchmaking traditions.

In the 24th Canto of Paradise, Dante compares the dance of the souls of the blessed to the movement of the gears of a mechanical watch.

A burnished crystal set on the titanium back allows you to admire the beauty of the mechanism. Water-resistant to 10 ATM, the XXIV Canto titanium case is also available with a Rose Gold PVD coating and features a three-part structure: bezel, middle case, and screw-down back.

The Guilloché Dial

The Arabic numerals, extremely legible and with a light design reminiscent of watches from the past century, are displayed on a smooth, enameled surface that contrasts with the central decoration. This is characterized by guilloché workmanship, with classic geometric decoration that enhances the brightness of the dial. The dial is embellished with the stylized outline of a rudder, symbolizing the unbreakable bond between LOCMAN and the sea. A large scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal completes the watch.
