LOCMAN has always had a deep love for the sea. It is the only watch manufacturer in the world whose workshops overlook a port, that of Marina di Campo. It has a longstanding vocation for water sports and has a deep connection with the environment, as demonstrated by the recent “True Spirit” campaign.

It was therefore only natural for LOCMAN to dedicate a line of watches to its natural surroundings. And so the Mare collection was created, instilling the sensation of water on the skin and allowing you to carry the memory of the waves with you wherever you go. Even in the city.

Marine MOOD

Mare is the Italian word for sea and the entire collection is designed with a “marine” spirit: from the aesthetics to the materials, the functionality and the eco-friendly commitment of LOCMAN itself. The distinctive feature of the Mare collection is the image of a shark that stands out against the dial at 6 o’clock: not simply a decoration, but a genuine cultural reference to the ancient peoples of the Mediterranean, for whom the shark represented the idea of strength and freedom. A powerful symbol of protection for seafarers.

The dial of the Mare 39mm features the profile of a dolphin, which has always been a symbol of royalty, innocence and above all the joy of life.

Nel blu dipinto di blu

The Mare collection is available in two versions: a large case with a diameter of 44 mm and a 39 mm case designed for slimmer wrists. The 44 mm case houses an automatic time-only movement or a quartz chronograph; the 39 mm case, on the other hand, contains a quartz time-only movement.

The case is made of 316L steel, which has a low carbon content and is highly hygienic: not by chance is it called “marine” or “surgical” steel. It is also available with blue PVD treatment or with rose gold details. Water resistance is always guaranteed to 10 atm.

The dial is either enamelled with a sunburst effect or in carbon fibre. The shaped case back, secured with four screws, is made of titanium, and therefore completely hypoallergenic, as is the soft-touch silicone strap, a material that is particularly resistant to UV rays and temperature fluctuations. For everyday use there is also a rubber strap with leather inserts, while a stainless steel bracelet is available for more sporty occasions.
