1960

Cinecittà, Via Veneto, Hollywood on the Tiber. The glamour of divas and the charm of movie stars. In short, La Dolce Vita: the title of the Fellini film that has become the symbol of an era, the swinging Sixties. It was a golden age not only for the Eternal City, but for the entire Italian Peninsula, amidst an economic boom and cultural revolution. LOCMAN pays tribute to the creativity, positive energy and tastes of the period with the 1960 collection, bringing the impeccable style and vibrant atmosphere of those years to the wrist.

The ITALIAN Dolce Vita

Purity of design, stylistic rigour, minimalism and formal research. The 1960 collection draws inspiration from examples of the past, reinterpreting their timeless chic with a contemporary aesthetic.

With these principles in mind, LOCMAN has developed a whole family of watches in a variety of models, with self-winding or quartz movements, for male or female wrists. Alongside the classic “three-hand” timepieces, they also include a number of small complications.

There are two types of display design: with long baton-shaped hour markers or with minute markers punctuated by Arabic numerals for the even numbers. The colour palette is extensive, with darker tones for men’s and pastel shades for women’s models.

Simply CHIC

The case of the LOCMAN 1960 is made of steel with a glossy finish, also embellished with a rose gold PVD treatment. Slim and slightly convex like the models of yesteryear, it features a slender bezel that appears to increase the actual size of the dial. On the three-hand quartz, chronograph or large date versions, it measures 41 mm in diameter, increasing to 42 mm for models with a self-winding movement and decreasing to 32 mm for ladies’ versions.

The dial, in matt or sun-brushed enamel, is available in a choice of colours: white, black, ivory, grey or blue, as well as blue and pink for the women’s versions. It can be teamed with a leather (or nylon) strap for a trendy mood, or with contrasting colours for a more classic effect. It is also available with a retro-style Milanese mesh steel bracelet. Whatever the chosen aesthetics, the LOCMAN 1960 is always the perfect accessory for sartorial elegance.
