For LOCMAN, sportsmanship and a passion for the sea go hand in hand. Indeed, LOCMAN has always partnered with major regattas, which have drawn the greatest international skippers to the waters of Elba. And it is precisely this love of boats, unchanged over time, that has recently led LOCMAN to renew the tradition: last year it became the main sponsor of the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, one of the most prestigious vintage sailing boat races on the Caribbean circuit.

Completely at ease in the world of vintage sailing ships, LOCMAN has created a tool for those who love to navigate, whether under sail or by motor: the Montecristo Yachting, a quartz chronograph with outstanding performance, combining impeccable precision with an ingenious technical feature. Replacing the usual regatta function, a highly efficient stopwatch clearly indicates the moment the boat crosses the starting line.

On the flange the first 15 seconds are displayed in intervals of 5, highlighted in different colours: blue, yellow and red. It’s a simple, practical and intuitive system for measuring that fateful, decisive moment on which the outcome of the entire race often depends.

The watch for NAVIGATION

The Montecristo Yachting reveals its vocation for the sea down to the last detail. The continuous seconds counter at 6 o’clock is adorned with a wind rose, the symbol of navigation and a tribute to the old Maritime Republics. Displayed between 6 and 8 o’clock on the flange are the geographical coordinates of Montecristo, the island in the Tuscan archipelago that inspired LOCMAN’s best-selling collection. Its name is also engraved on the case middle at 9 o’clock.

The case of the Montecristo Yachting, made of 316L steel and titanium, features a “cage” construction with an openwork structure that hugs the case middle making the watch light and dynamic. Water-resistance is guaranteed to 10 atm. The hypoallergenic silicone strap features long slits for optimal breathability. Montecristo Yachting is available in two versions, with a white or navy dial.
